New competition for UPS, FedEx, USPS as Waffle House teams up with delivery app

The Waffle House doesn't want to just serve people breakfast anymore, it wants to help deliver packages.

It's teaming up with an app called "Roadie" and the partnership will turn Waffle House locations into drop off points for packages in need of shipping.

Roadie drivers deliver them to the location of your choice if they're already headed in that direction.

"It made perfect sense to partner with them because we have the locations and we're in 25 states and we're a gathering place already. So people are coming to our restaurants, so why not make it a place where people come together that are maybe shipping or receiving something. And so it made perfect sense from that standpoint," said Waffle House President Pat Warner.

Roadie drivers delivering packages can also receive a free waffle and beverage from the restaurant.
