On Tuesday night, detectives said 36-year-old Jennifer Alvarez is safe at home and does not appear injured. She refused a medical evaluation.
Detectives started searching for Alvarez after her boyfriend reported her missing around 9:45 p.m. on Monday. He said he found blood spatter in the home they share near Hanna and Thornton Road.
"They started searching all around his place and then they came over and searched my barn and that was it. This morning, there was crime tape all over and the crime units was here with bloodhounds and they went all over everyone's property," said Bud McIntosh, a neighbor.
Deputies say the amount of blood found in the home did not indicate life-threatening injuries, but two guns were also missing from the house.
Deputies are now looking for a maroon 2011 4-door Ford Expedition that McIntosh saw at the home earlier in the day.
He told the boyfriend about it.
"I told him about the red or maroon SUV that was there in the morning.. early afternoon and he said yes, he knew it was there. He was shook up and then he left."
Deputies say security footage places the missing woman as the driver of the SUV leaving the Soda Stop convenience and liquor store around 2 p.m. Monday. It's just minutes from her home.
PCSO says the owner of the SUV, 33-year-old Ramiro Sanchez, is considered a person of interest.
"I haven't got a clue of what went on. As far as I know, there was never any trouble over there," said McIntosh.
PCSO detectives will be interviewing Alvarez.
The blood found within the residence is believed to have come from a tooth that was removed under unknown circumstances at this point.
