Police arrest group of serial robbers who targeted businesses

A group of armed robbers went on a crime spree in West Phoenix, hitting several restaurants and stores.

The robbers came bursting into the businesses wearing masks and pointing their guns at employees.

Although their faces were covered, investigators used surveillance video to identify them.

Three suspected robbers were arrested, but police are still looking for another.

Police say the suspects are behind up to eight armed robberies, many happened several months ago.

The victims FOX 10 talked to say they are relieved to learn that this week police arrested three of the four suspects.

A trio of masked men were caught on camera, robbing a Subway store near 35th Avenue and Camelback.

But the video does show the fact of one of the men after police say the man's accomplice accidentally pepper sprayed his face.

Phoenix Police say these same men are behind a string of armed robberies in the area, and the same men who robbed Filibertos restaurant on 43rd Avenue and Bethany Home.

"They pointed a gun to a guy in the kitchen, and the other guy ran over there," said Delfino Deleon.

Owner Delfino Deleon says his surveillance video shows the men during the late night heist, wearing masks, brandishing guns, even shoving an employee into the freezer.

"He was preparing, and the guy was pointing at him, like get in the freezer, so he came and put him there," said Deleon.

The robbers took off with about $1,000, but with surveillance video and tips from the community, police say they caught the suspects; 19-year-old Tracy De Angelo Thomas, 24-year-old Triaundice Williams, and 19-year-old Daeshauntae Marquet Ahrens.

At Filibertos, things are back to business as usual, and the other is just happy no one was hurt.

The three men arrested face charges including; armed robbery, aggravated assault, and kidnapping. Police are still working on identifying a fourth man believed to be involved in the crimes.
