Sen. McCain holds town halls in the valley

Senator John McCain made a couple of appearances before friendly audiences in Tempe, and Mesa.

McCain visited a defense contractor and a group of student pilots.

He talked about the recent Supreme Court decisions on Same-Sex Marriage and Obamacare, neither decision sat well with the long-time Senator.

John McCain spoke with workers at Robertson Fuel Systems in Tempe. A defense contractor that produced self-sealing, explosion-proof fuel tanks for military aircraft and ground vehicles.

This was billed as a town hall meeting, but that's only if your town is Robertson Fuel Systems, the event was not open to the general public.

The Senator fielded friendly questions as he talked about the defense budget and the VA, he also sounded off about the recent Supreme Court decisions.

"The decision to preserve Obamacare was very unfortunate because it legitimized Obamacare, but the costs of health care still skyrocketing," said Sen. John McCain.

And he spoke about same-sex marriage.

"I still believe marriage is one-man, one-woman, and I understand the court has made it part of the constitution, and I will preserve religious liberties of all of our citizens," said McCain.

McCain also said Obama shouldn't make a nuclear deal with Iran, saying the Iranians cannot be trusted.

Sen. McCain also appeared at CAE Oxford Aviation Academy in Gilbert, speaking to a group of student pilots.
