Server pays for couple's meal after learning daughter died

A server paid for a couple's meal at a Fort Worth restaurant after learning that their baby had passed away.

Debbie and Shaun Riddle go to West Side Cafe frequently, and last month they took their new daughter, Glory, with them, according to a post on Facebook.

When they returned on June 4, their waitress, Kayla, asked where Glory was. Sadly, the couple had to break the heartbreaking news that the baby had passed away.

The waitress reportedly felt horrible for asking.

When the bill came, it read, "Your ticket has been paid for. We are terribly sorry for your loss. God Bless - The West Side."

Debbie also wrote that Kayla didn't even want them to tip her, the company apparently had that taken care of for them too.

At first Kayla was vague about just who paid for the meal, but it turns out, it was the server herself who picked up the tab.

She wrote a heartfelt message on Facebook too:

When this couple came into west side yesterday, I surprised them by remembering their faces and their lovely baby girl,...
