Tempe Police: model agent arrested for preying on young girls

A developing story out of Tempe, a 20-year-old man was arrested after being accused of using social media sites to prey on underage girls and young women.

Police say the suspect would persuade teens to send him nude pictures of themselves. Once he got the photos, he would threaten to use those photos against them if they didn't send more.

So far, Tempe Police says they have nine victims, but there could be dozens of others still out there from all over the country.

20-year-old Jarre Bjelic was arrested by Tempe Police at Paradise Valley Community College.

His website says he is an entrepreneur, the host, and creator of a hidden camera reality TV show that airs in France.

Police officials said that Bjelic lives here in the valley and was preying on underage girls by tricking them into sending him nude photos of themselves.

Investigators say he told the girls he owned a modeling agency.

His website tells potential models that "snapshot selfies are preferred."

Police say Bjelic signed a 14-year-old victim to a modeling contract and then threatened to expose her nude photos on a fake Instagram account unless she sent him more.

She told her parents, and they called police.

Investigators seized Bjelic's computer, where they found images and information on more than 80 girls.

Police say not all the victims are underage, the youngest is 14 and the oldest is 24.

He is now facing 18-felony charges including luring a minor, theft by extortion and sexual conduct with a minor.

Anyone with information is asked to call Tempe Police.
