Phoenix police say two young children are expected to be okay after being rescued from a valley swimming pool on Thursday afternoon.
Crews were called to the area of 51st Avenue and Vernon just before 5 p.m.
A 2-year-old boy and 1-year-old girl were pulled from the bottom of the pool and rushed to a valley hospital.
Phoenix Police say the two children are recovering and are expected to be okay.
Officer James Holmes says the near drowning appears to be an accident.
SkyFox video showed the family pool with what appears to be a barrier surrounding the pool.
Investigators believe the latch on the pool fence gate wasn't working.
