Thursday marks the first major holiday since the bruising Presidential race that ended with Donald Trump being elected as President. Which begs the question: what should you do, should someone start a political conversation at the dinner table?
Turns out, there is a number to text for that.
Accord the to the organization Showing Up For Racial Justice, they have set up a texting hotline for people who may need help during Thanksgiving conversations on race or politics.
According to the organization, anyone who needs help will need to send the word SOS to the number 82623, and the organization will send you a talking point of your choice, from a pre-determined list.
If you need additional help, officials with the organization their staff members are available for a one-on-one coaching call.
According to their website, Showing Up For Racial Justice works "to connect people across the country while supporting and collaborating with local and national racial justice organizing efforts."
