Boy, 11, shoots and kills girl, 8, police say

Police say an 11-year-old Tennessee boy used his father's 12-gauge shotgun to "intentionally" shoot an 8-year-old girl in the chest on Saturday, killing her.

The unidentified boy has been charged with first-degree murder.

McKayla Dyer was playing outside when the suspected shooter asked to see her puppy, her mom, Latasha Dyer told WATE. McKayla told the boy, "no," and he allegedly responded by shooting her in the chest.
