Captured python could be world's longest snake

A python caught in Malaysia may be the biggest snake ever caught!
The snake, which measured 26-feet-long, was captured in Penang by the Civil Defense Department.
It was found slithering under a tree by workers at a construction site last week.
The Guinness Book of World Records says the current record holder is Medusa, a 25-foot python that lives in Missouri.
The Penang python's length will have to be verified by the Guinness World Records group in order to confirm.
The snake is currently at the at the Civil Defense Team's office, but will eventually be handed to the state wildlife department.
