Carson Threatens to Leave GOP: 'I Don't Want to Be a Part of Corruption'

On "Your World" today, Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson explained why he's threatening to leave the GOP.

The retired neurosurgeon lashed out Friday morning after The Washington Post reported about a recent closed-door meeting of Republican establishment leaders focused on deep divisions within the GOP electorate, particularly the surging campaign of Donald Trump.

"If this was the beginning of a plan to subvert the will of the voters and replace it with the will of the political elite, I assure you Donald Trump will not be the only one leaving the party," Carson said in a statement.

Carson told Neil Cavuto that wasn't a threat, but a promise.

"I don't want to be a part of corruption," Carson said, explaining that he doesn't agree with GOP establishment leaders thwarting the will of the American people.
