CBP: 203% increase in border crossings in last 12 months
WASHINGTON D.C. (KSAZ) - During the month of March, U.S. Customs and Border Protection saw an increase in border crossings. Overall, there was a 37 percent increase when compared to February, but a 203 percent increase compared to March 2017
The number of family units apprehended at the border increased by 49 percent and the number of unaccompanied children (UAC) increased by 41 percent compared to last month.

As seen in a chart provided by Homeland Security, over 37,000 people were apprehnded between ports of entry on the Southwest Border, compared with over 26,000 in February and almost 26,000 in January.
In all of 2017, the United States Border Patrol apprehended over 303,000 individuals along the Southwest Border.
