Detroit middle school coach charged for sex crimes with students

Disgusting allegations against a Detroit middle school coach, accused of multiple sex crimes involving several underage students.

Prosecutors say he inappropriately touched teenage boys while he was their coach and now he's facing a long list of serious charges.

Antoine Lewis Jones was arraigned on 16 charges that the 28-year-old Detroit middle school basketball coach, having sexual contact with four Detroit teenage boys.

"At this time there are four complainants but we do have at least six others that we are in the process of interviewing and (we) expect to bring charges," said the assistant Wayne County prosecutor.

These are just allegations now, but Mr. Jones is alleged to have requested inappropriate photos, texts and other social media from members of the basketball team at A.L. Holmes Elementary Middle School on Detroit's east side.

School officials say that Jones was let go after allegations were brought forward by a parent.

After the assistant prosecutor that Jones was a flight risk, the judge set bond at $1 million cash.

The prosecutor said that more victims may come forward once the case is publicized.

DPS spokesperson Michelle Zdrodowski says they will work with an ongoing DPS police investigation. Mr. Jones has been placed on an unpaid administrative leave.

Jones will back in court April 6th.
