Officials say the Tempe man who went missing while visiting the Grand Canyon National Park has been located.
27-year-old Justin Kremer was last seen in the area of West Rim Drive on Friday at about Noon. Throughout the weekend, law enforcement was uncertain if he remained in the area.
Search and Rescue crews and investigators were able to locate and contact Kremer near Mescalero Point, west of Grand Canyon Village.
Kremer was transported back to Grand Canyon Village and will be transported to Flagstaff for further evaluation.
The National Park Service Investigative Services Branch, Grand Canyon Fire and Aviation Team, and Grand Canyon Search and Rescue Team were involved in the successful location of Kremer.
Over the past two days multiple agencies also assisted in the search for Kremer including Arizona Department of Public Safety Air Rescue, Coconino County Sheriff’s Department, and the Kaibab National Forest.
An investigation into this incident is still underway.
