It was the third night of protests on the streets of Atlanta. The protest began in the Old Fourth Ward and marched along Ponce De Leon Avenue to Freedom Parkway where they were met by a wall of Georgia State Patrol Troopers blocking their access to the Downtown Connector.

It was a scene all too familiar with residents who have been following the protests over the summer. Mayor Kasim Reed had previously stated he was okay with orderly, peaceful protests so long as they do not endanger themselves or motorists by going on the busy interstate highways.

"Tonight marks the beginning of a new era of resistance," one protester shouted to the crowd.

He spoke with FOX 5 News saying they have been protesting long before Donald Trump became the President-Elect.

SKYFOX 5 flew over the area of the protests and found a sea of blue flashing lights as various law enforcement agencies worked to keep order and block access to the highways.
