Man arrested for sexually assaulting teen girls from Keller

A 44-year-old man is behind bars for allegedly sexually assaulting four underage girls from Keller.

Police said Timothy James Burns first made contact with an older teen on the website SeekingArrangement.com. She then introduced him to several of her younger friends, all between the ages of 14 and 16.

The alleged assaults all happened between Sept. 2015 and Jan. 2016 at one of Burns' two homes in Arlington. Police got involved two weeks ago because one of the victims came forward.

The arrest warrant in the case details interviews with the victims. One of them stated: "She says all you do is go to dinner and hang out with him and you get paid."

The warrant also states: "Tim then gave victim number one and number two each $200. He gave victim number three $50. She says they got the $200 in secret because he did not want victim number three to know they got so much."

"I think what this is about is how important it is for parents to be very cognizant of the fact [that] social media plays such an important part in our kids' lives, and to just be very active in monitoring and communication with their kids," said Keller PD Capt. Thomas Simmons.

Keller ISD confirmed the girls attend various high schools in the district, but said Burns is not an employee.

"While Keller PD continues its investigation we have confirmed the suspect has never been an employee of the district. Student safety is a top priority in Keller ISD, and we urge parents to talk to their students and notify authorities with any additional information regarding this matter," the district said in a statement.

Police are still trying to determine if there were any other victims.

Burns is facing four 2 nd degree felony charges for the sexual assault of a child. He is being held in the Keller Regional Jail on a $400,000 bond.
