Man critically injured during shooting at apartment complex

A man is in extremely critical condition after he was shot an apartment complex near Mountain View and Cave Creek Road.

Phoenix police say they received a call that a man had been shot and found someone with a gunshot wound when they arrived. He was immediately taken to a hospital.

According to officers, there were other people in the apartment at the time, but those people say they didn't hear any gunshots and didn't know who the man was.

Investigators are focusing on part of the parking lot of an apartment complex in the area and were seen talking to a couple of people at the scene.

Details about how the shooting occurred haven't been released.
