Recall: Legs on high chairs sold at big-name stores could detach

More than 40,000 high chairs sold at major retailers in the U.S. and Canada have been recalled because the legs could detach, causing the chair to fall, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The Skip Hop company says it has received 17 reports of legs detaching from its convertible high chairs, but no injuries had been reported.

The Skip Hop convertible high chairs were sold at Babies "R" Us, Buy Buy Baby, Target, Kohls, Dillards and other children specialty stores nationwide and online from Amazon and Skiphop.com from June 2017 through December 2018 for about $160.

Anyone who has this high chair should stop using it and contact Skip Hop for a full refund or e gift card.

Skip Hop can be reached toll-free at 888-282-4674 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or online at www.skiphop.com and click on "Recalls" for more information.
