The son of GoDaddy founder Bob Parsons is being accused of strangling and hitting his girlfriend in his Scottsdale home.
Robert Sean Parsons turned himself into police and has been charged with felony assault charges.
Robert lives on the same property as his father, it's where the alleged domestic violence incident took place.
Police say Robert surrendered after he learned he was under investigation for dometic violence. Court records reveal that the alleged incident occured at his Scottsdale home when his girlfriend confronted him about text messages and photos of other women on his phone. He's accused of strangling his girlfriend several times and hitting her in the face.
"I have some serious concerns for the victim's safety," said a judge.
At his initial court appearance prosecutors and the judge both expressed concern about Parson's potential for violence.
"The fact is when I read the facts it happened not one time, not two times, not three times, it was multiple times," said the judge.
"It clearly shows this was not a one time act, not an ok I slipped, I did something, he also made statements, I hope you die," said the prosecutor.
Authorities say Robert strangled the victim on a total of four occasions during the incident, even after she tried to get away.
"Based upon his size, and what he did to her while assaulting her, he lifted her off the ground to strangle her, and he did hurt her pretty bad," said Sgt. Ben Hoster, a spokesperson with Scottsdale Police.
Police also say Parsons admitted to the charges during a phone call to the victim, and apologized. He was released on a $10,000 bond, and was ordered to wear an ankle bracelet. The victim also filed a restraining order against him.
