Passengers who sit in the back of the plane may have the highest chance of survival.

Time Magazine analyzed data from 1985-2000 and found that the middle seats in the back of the plane had the lowest fatality rate.

Middle seats in the rear of the aircraft had a 28-percent fatality rate. Aisle seats in the middle third of the cabin had the highest fatality rate at 44 percent.

The chances of dying on a plane are one in 8,000, making it more likely to die of a bee sting than in a plane crash.
