Video captures alleged theft in broad daylight

Caught on Camera: A woman's belongings appear to be stolen right out of the trunk of her car in broad daylight.

Tamara Hancock says she caught a brazen burglary in broad daylight on her home surveillance cameras.

"I still feel angry, but I'm bewildered," said Hancock.

Hancock says she was unaware her car trunk was left just a crack open.  In the video, you can see someone driving by one Saturday morning, spotting it, stopped at hear car, running out and grabbing all the bags inside the truck and taking off.

It all happened near 83rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.

"She seems so excited and happy with herself. If you look at the camera, she's trotting over and actually smiles at one point," said Hancock.

Inside the trunk were repair goods from home depot, nothing irreplaceable, but still, Hancock says she wants the woman caught.

"It's not the amount of money we lost. It's more the principle of the violation of our own privacy and personal space," said Hancock.

The woman's license plate isn't visible from the video, so Hancock posted the woman's picture to social media hoping someone recognizes this woman, and turns her in.

"With as fast as she was going, it's hard to believe she saw it and was able to do it so quickly unless she's done this 100 times before," said Hancock.
