Look back at President Trump's 2017 successes

From tax reform to military successes, FOX News took a look back at President Donald Trump's achievements one year since taking office.

Tax Reform
Trump's biggest win was probably a sweeping $1.5 trillion tax reform legislation that promised to boost Americans' paychecks and help businesses. With tax reform, Trump continues to chip away at Obamacare, eliminating the health insurance mandate penalty in 2019.

Regulation Rollbacks
As promised during his campaign, Trump slashed government red tape and Obama-era regulations, including oil, education and employment. At least 860 total regulations were pulled or suspended.

The Courts
When Trump took office, he inherited more than 100 federal judicial vacancies. In one year, he has nominated 72 federal judges, with 23 successfully confirmed, including Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. Federal judges are appointed for life and Trump's picks could remain on the bench for 30 to 40 years, potentially reshaping the American judicial system for years to come.

Military
Iraq declared its war against the Islamic State was over after more than three years of combat. Extremist fights were driven from territories they once occupied. President Obama's strategy in the Mideast was designed to help support local forces in Iraq and Syria with coalition air power and analysts say Trump's decision to give field commanders more decision-making power has helped increase the campaign's pace.
