Race to the White House: Big endorsements for Clinton, Rubio, possibly Trump

Another big contest in the 2016 presidential election is on February 23rd as voters in Nevada pick who they think should get the Republican nomination.

As independent voters fight for their right to vote, a slew of endorsements were thrown out this weekend.

"Hillary Clinton knows that America is formed from a country of immigrants, that's what makes it strong. As president, I feel that she will continue to keep fighting for families and keep us together," said Arizona State Representative Diego Espinoza.
"I firmly believe that Hillary Clinton as our next president of the U.S. will provide opportunities to all the families in the Phoenix union and all of the families in Arizona," said Stephanie Para.
The Latino community in the valley is endorsing Clinton for president, saying she has a proven record and will ease tensions about immigration.
Senator Marco Rubio, coming in a surprising second place in the South Carolina primary, received a big endorsement from Arizona Senator Jeff Flake. Flake says Rubio has the ideas, the principles and the toughness that's necessary to bring reform to Washington.
And coming off a big win in South Carolina, Donald Trump revealed he's been consulting with former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
"I'll win New York. If I win that, the election is over because there's so many delegates.  So, I do things nobody else is going to do."
Giuliani has not officially announced who he is endorsing for president, but admitted that he has counseled Trump as a close friend of the real estate mogul.
"The most important political conversation taking place today is not just who we elect as president, but whether our democratic process will work for all people."
And on the deadline of voter registration, Arizona independent voters continue their fight to open the presidential primaries to independents. But for now, they remain closed.
