Small Plane Goes Missing in Arizona

The Federal Aviation Administration says authorities have located the wreckage of a small plane in west-central Arizona and all three people aboard died.

The Mohave County Sheriff's Office declined to provide any additional details of Wednesday's discovery near Alamo Lake.

The Civil Air Patrol had been searching for the single-engine Cessna 182 that took off Sunday evening from Glendale and headed to Lake Havasu City.

Local fire battalion chief Rick Felish says the plane was piloted by fire Capt. Don Mesisca, who had flown to Glendale for an Arizona Cardinals game with his wife Rosie and son, Brett.

Felish reported Mesisca missing Wednesday after he failed to show up for work.

FAA spokesman Ian Gregor says no flight plan was filed and no emergency beacon activation has been detected.
