Boy Dies After Suspected DUI Crash

Posted:

A young boy dies after an alleged drunk driver crashes into his father's car.

The collision happened early Saturday morning, near Warner and McQueen.

46-year-old Gregory Katsaros was driving to work with his two boys -- and around the same time, police were pursuing 30-year-old David Wiggins, who was driving a Kia SUV erratically.

At some point, police backed off the pursuit and that's when Wiggins crashed into the man's car, according to police.

11-year-old Alexander Katsaros died at a hospital on Sunday, while his 7-year-old brother Christopher received serious injuries.

Wiggins was also hurt in the crash.

Police expect to book Wiggins with one count of first degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and one count of felony flight from law enforcement when he leaves the hospital.
