Authorities Have New Leads on Missing Arizona Woman

New Mexico authorities say they have new leads surrounding a missing Arizona woman whose trailer was abandoned in Las Cruces back in 2009.

Yavapai County, Ariz., sheriff's spokesman Dwight Develyn says the open-sided U-Haul trailer was likely attached to a Ford truck that they think is from Las Cruces. Develyn says someone was asked or there was some arrangement made in Las Cruces to pick up that trailer.

The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office says that while moving from Arizona to Texas, 64-year-old Kristal Forest and her 1997 Nissan Pathfinder disappeared on March 28, 2009.

A few days later, a dark-colored, full-sized, extended-cab truck - possibly the Ford - was seen delivering Forest's trailer, to a storage yard in Las Cruces.

Authorities say a suspect in the case, 56-year-old Charles Reed, is in prison on unrelated charges. He befriended Forest before she disappeared.
