The 911 call is being released in which a Scottsdale father admitted to shooting and killing his two sons, before trying to kill himself.
The 911 call was made moments after Andre Leteve apparently tried to take his own life.
The 39-year-old father was distraught, going through a divorce and a custody battle. Scottsdale Police say he shot his 15-month-old and 5-year-old sons, and then tried to kill himself the morning of March 31.
911 Operator: "What's going on?"
Leteve: "I just shot and killed my sons and shot myself."
911 Operator: "You did what?"
Leteve: "I shot and killed my sons."
The slurred voice on the line confesses to killing his two kids. During the call, the dispatcher has trouble understanding Leteve, who is wounded.
911 Operator: "Where did you get shot? What part of your body did you shoot yourself?"
Leteve: "The face."
911 Operator: "In the face… are you putting anything over where you're bleeding from?"
911 Operator: "Ok I'd like you to put something over where you're bleeding from, ok."
Leteve is still hospitalized for the gunshot wound. The bullet went through his chin and out his nose.
Family members say the divorce was not nasty. They say there were no real warning signs that Leteve would kill his children and try to commit suicide.
