A 41-year-old woman has been arrested, accused of engaging in prostitution at a Phoenix massage parlor.
Preeyaporn Rice is facing charges of control of an illegal enterprise, conspiracy to control an illegal enterprise, and prostitution.
In mid-April 2011, after receiving a citizen complaint about prostitution activity, Phoenix Police Vice detectives began investigating Friction Massage, located at 5046 E. McDowell Rd.
Surveillance and undercover operations were conducted at the location, and police determined that prostitution activity did indeed take place inside Friction Massage.
Rice was hired on April 1, 2011. Police say that while she would administer a massage, she would offer to provide sexual services in exchange for money.
A detective went undercover to get a massage and Rice offered to provide sexual intercourse for $200, the report alleges.
A witness reported that Rice administered a massage and oral sex for $80.
The owner of Friction Massage is also facing charges.
