Weather Authority Forecast


A relatively calm February is about to get a blast of winter as a storm is expected to bring significant snowfall to the region.

The National Weather Service has issued Winter Storm Warnings for most of Southeast Michigan with the exception of Lenawee and Monroe counties where there is a Winter Weather Advisory.

Weather Authority Rich Luterman says snow will arrive tonight and continue through Friday morning. Most of Southeast Michigan will see between 3 and 5 inches of snow. The overnight low will be near 31 degrees.

Friday is blustery and cool with snow tapering off and a high of 35 degrees.

The weekend features partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid thirties.
