Judge bars White Bear Lake 'neighbor from hell' from going home

Posted: Updated:

The White Bear Lake woman accused of harassing and stalking her neighbors is now barred from her house.

On Tuesday, Ramsey County Judge George Stephenson said 49-year-old Lori Christensen will not be allowed to stay at home until he determines whether she violated her probation.

Christensen will be allowed to return home once -- along with a police escort -- to retrieve her dogs and personal things. She will need to find somewhere else to stay until her next hearing, which is set for Friday.

One week prior to the judge's decision, Christensen was charged with three felonies related to stalking her neighbors and violating a restraining order. She is accused of videotaping Kim and Greg Hoffman, putting bizarre signs on her garage door, and calling the city inspector for minute code violations -- like damage to siding.

Christensen's attorney says she denies the current allegations.

After violating a restraining order in December, Christensen served some time in the county workhouse. That means she could be facing up to 10 years in prison if she is convicted on the current charges because it would not be her first offense.
