SURPRISE, Ariz. -

A Surprise man who allegedly tried to teach his kids a lesson by force-feeding them alcohol has been arrested.

32-year-old Kristopher Harvey was booked into jail Monday on two counts of child abuse.

A neighbor called police to say they heard crying and screaming. Officers arrived and made contact with the resident, Kristopher Harvey. Police say he appeared to be very drunk and was having trouble standing up.

He said he was just trying to teach his two sons, ages 13 and 14, a lesson. The kids were in the home in their underwear, screaming and crying.

The boys told officers Harvey made them drink alcohol. They were both highly intoxicated and began vomiting.

According to police, the kids were visiting their father from California. They drank some of their father's alcohol last week, and Harvey's girlfriend found out about it. She told Harvey, who decided to punish the kids by forcing them to take shots of liquor.
