A 17-year-old girl went missing on I-17 at milepost 304 Monday afternoon.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said Cesha Adams was traveling with her family south on Interstate 17. The Arkansas family was heading to California.
They planned to make a brief detour in Dewey to visit an uncle, but Cesha and her mother got into an argument and she pulled over at milepost 304.
Cesha left the vehicle and disappeared. Her mom expected Cesha to eventually appear and re-enter the car, but Cesha was gone. Cesha's mother backtracked the area and could not locate her.
Deputies searched on ground and in the air, but Cesha didn't turn up.
By Tuesday morning, police reported that Cesha was found safe in Tucson. She was trying to get a bus back to Arkansas.
