SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

The Detroit Institute of Arts will have a millage increase on the August 7th ballot for Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties.

Watch the video interview with the Director of the DIA, Graham Beal.

Voting yes on the millage increase would cost residents in those counties an average of $15 per home, and would give them free admission to the DIA year-round.

If the millage passes, the DIA would have an additional $23 million in operational revenue. $10 million coming from Oakland County, $8 million from Wayne, and the remaining $5 million from Macomb.
