"You know why I'm getting the free water? Because Chick-fil-A is a hateful corporation."

The video went viral as soon as it was posted to the web. A former Arizona CFO and one time lecturer at University of Arizona posted video of himself verbally attacking a Chick-fil-A employee because the head of her company spoke out against gay marriage.

That Tucson employee gained internet fame for how she handled the overzealous customer.

She spoke to Fox News about the ordeal.

Rachel said her training and upbringing got her through the minute and a half of the odd exchange with the customer -- and she was just as polite on fox news as she was when she worked the drive-thru.

She took 'service with a smile' to a whole new level.

"He was looking for me to react poorly. It's not my personality, I would never do anything hateful in return to someone."

The 26-year-old who only wants to go by her first name, Rachel, acquired internet fame for her politeness after customer Adam Smith posted a YouTube video of him belittling her in the drive thru during last week's Chick-fil-A appreciation day.

Smith: "You know why I'm getting the free water? Because Chick-fil-A is a hateful corporation."

Rachel: "I disagree -- we don't treat our customers any differently --"

Smith: "I know but the corporation gives money to hate groups. I'm glad I can take money away from Chick-fil-A and maybe less money to hate groups. I don't know how you live with yourself and work here."

Smith was fired from his job as CFO of a Tucson medical manufacturing company because of the video. He later issued a YouTube apology to Rachel.

"While I might not agree with everyone's views I always want to treat the other person with respect. I didn't do that with you," said Smith.

When asked to respond to his apology, the 26-year-old was still serving up kindness.

"I forgive you I really hope that America will forgive you and treat you with the respect I chose to treat you with that day."

Smith initially went back to Rachel's restaurant to apologize in person but she didn't want to talk with him at the time, saying she was still overwhelmed by the gravity of the ordeal.

Now she says she'd like to meet him face to face even though he already apologized.
