PHOENIX (AP) - A woman has been arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in a Phoenix freeway crash that killed a motorcyclist.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say 59-year-old Carol Ann Sacca was reported to be driving in the wrong direction Sunday on the Loop 101.
They say Sacca's sedan allegedly struck the motorcycle head-on and 43-year-old Scott Benson of Tempe was later pronounced dead at John C. Lincoln Hospital.
DPS officials say Sacca also is being held on suspicion of 3 counts of endangerment and one count of criminal damage.
They say further charges may occur after blood sample results are analyzed.
Sacca was arrested Monday. Authorities didn't immediately know Tuesday whether she has a lawyer yet for her case.
