A lot of people are looking for a job and a new valley restaurant is looking to put a lot of people to work.
Searsucker Restaurant is under construction in Scottsdale.
The hot new valley restaurant is located off Camelback Road near Scottsdale Fashion Square.
The new American classic food comes to the valley from San Diego. The chef and owner, Brian Malarkey, best known for being on the hit series "Top Chef", chose the valley as the first city to expand.
Stacia Stephens says the new American cuisine will have a very urban feel.
"Our concept is based around a social dining experience. We have DJ's, ambient music, comes from Spain. Not invasive, as night goes on, lights go dimmer, BPM's to keep energy going," Stephens said.
The new venue is looking to hire 100 positions.
Beaux Mullikin is one of dozens applying. He said finding a job in the valley can be challenging.
"I'm very hopeful, then hope is all you have," Mullikin said.
"We're looking for people to have fun, experienced people, management," Stephens said.
It was Mullikin's second round of interviews Saturday.
"It's going to boost the economy. It's a place people want to be seen," Mullikin said. "[The] food is going to be amazing."
Stephens said the restaurant will have sky lights, allowing natural light into the space. The West Coast restaurant, set to open October 22nd, will be a unique feature in the valley.
"We have communal tables, sit with guests they might not know, new friends. Our menus are designed to share and try different menu items as well," Stephens said.
