GILBERT, Ariz. (AP) - A man whose extreme DUI case was dismissed is back in custody after Gilbert police claim he altered his arrest video.

Police say 56-year-old Rex Altree was arrested in September 2010 for allegedly driving with a blood-alcohol content of 0.15% or higher.

His case was dismissed last November after Altree provided a video that showed his driving wasn't consistent with the police report.

The arresting officer brought the video to the criminal investigations department and had it examined by a forensic computer analyst.

Police say results from the exam showed the dates and times stamped on the video were altered.

They say Altree now faces felony charges for perjury, forgery, tampering with physical evidence and obstructing a criminal investigation.

Police didn't immediately know Monday if Altree has a lawyer.
