TEMPE, Ariz. -

A man was robbed at gunpoint on ASU's Tempe campus early Tuesday morning.

It happened about 12:10 a.m. in Lot 72 behind Sonora Center, near some freshman dorms.

ASU Police say that two black males robbed a male student sitting in his car. They demanded money, and the victim gave it up.

The man then tried to drive away, and one of the suspects fired a single shot into his car's engine block.

The suspects then fled the area in a gray Mazda. No one was hurt.

Police don't know if the suspects fired their gun intentionally or if it was an accident.

Anyone with information is asked to call ASU Police.
