ANTHEM, Ariz. -

St. Mary's Food Bank is struggling to keep their shelves stocked this fall so the valley chapters of Arizona Harley Davidson Owners Groups (HOG) are riding in to save the day.

The group raised a record 140,000 meals during their fourth annual "Biker's Food Bank Challenge" to benefit St. Mary's and other valley food banks.

Chapters road to each dealership in the valley on Sunday, collecting more and more riders until they ended at the Buddy Stubbs Harley Davidson in Anthem.

Over 100 riders presented the food to St. Mary's and held a lunch to give trophies to the first, second and third-place chapters in this year's challenge.

Over four years of the challenge, HOG chapters have provided over 270,000 meals to food banks.

This year, the chapter representing Anthem's Harley Davidson location became the first repeat champions by collection over 50,000 meals.

"The HOG Biker's Challenge has grown into one of largest group events annually benefiting St. Mary's, and with our food supplies down 50 percent over last year this donation could not come at a better time," said Food Bank President and CEO Beverly Damore. "On behalf of Arizona's hungry, we salute all the participating HOG chapters on their most successful drive ever."
