YUMA,, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say Border Patrol agents have seized 685 pounds of marijuana in two separate cases early this week.

The Border Patrol says agents patrolling near Gila Bend southwest of Phoenix early Monday morning found 12 abandoned bundles containing about 277 pounds of marijuana hidden along Interstate 8. The agency says the drug was valued at about $138,500.

Later the same day, authorities say agents patrolling an area north of Gila Bend came across a black SUV containing about 408 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $204,000. Two suspects were taken into custody.
