DETROIT (WJBK) - More than $34,000 worth of jewelry has been stolen from a Kmart Supercenter in Detroit.

Police say a man used bolt cutters to dislodge several display cases containing mainly 10 to 14-karat gold earrings and walked out a side door with them Friday morning.

Surveillance cameras images of the suspected thief walking into the store on Telegraph Road around 7:30 a.m.

Police believe the suspect in his mid-30s. They say the same location was robbed in a similar fashion earlier this year.

Anyone with information on the suspect's identity is asked to call Detroit police.
