2 Phoenix residents arrested after meth seizure

Posted: Updated:

HOLBROOK, Ariz. (AP) - Two Phoenix residents are in custody after northern Arizona authorities found 20 ounces of crystal methamphetamine in their vehicle after a traffic stop.

Navajo County Sheriff's officials say a car was pulled over Oct. 30 in Show Low for a traffic violation.

Show Low police officers searched the vehicle and found the meth, which has an estimated value of $56,000.

Sheriff's officials say 46-year-old Albert Munoz and 32-year-old Maricela Carrizosa were booked into the county jail.

They both are being held on suspicion of transportation of dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs for sale and possession of dangerous drugs.

Cash bond for Munoz and Carrizosa has been set at $25,000 apiece. It was unclear Friday whether they had lawyers for their cases.
