A 16-year-old male arrested in connection to two sexual assaults in Scottsdale will be tried as an adult, according to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.

Danny Jackson was escorted into the 4th Avenue Jail in shackles on Saturday. FOX 10 cameras were the only ones to capture the first look at the suspect.

A spokesperson for the County Attorney's Office said the teen will be charged as an adult.

He was booked on sexual assault, burglary and kidnapping charges in connection with two Scottsdale rape cases.

"We're positive this is the right guy," said Sgt. Mark Clark with Scottsdale Police Department.

Scottsdale police arrested Jackson at his Scottsdale apartment on Friday.

Investigators said he doesn't live at either of the apartment complexes where the sexual assaults happened, but near them.

Detectives said tips from the community, along with forensic evidence, identified the boy as the suspect.

"We have shown photo line-ups to witnesses and victims at least one picked him out identifying him," said Clark.

A Chaparral High School student known only as Gauge said Jackson is a classmate and at one time, played football.

He said Jackson was violent.

Gauge showed FOX 10 a video of who he says is Jackson, in a striped shirt, running through the middle of what is supposed to be a fight between two other kids and punching one of them, then taking off.

Gauge said Jackson can be seen later, pummeling another teen.

"You'd think you'd have at least some reason to fight someone but really he had zero reason. He would not know the kid's first name and he'd go up and swing at them," said Gauge.

Police are looking to see if Jackson could be connected with other crimes.

"There's no sexual assaults we've run across related to this, there are other crimes we're investigating this person could be responsible for," said Clark.

Scottsdale police say they searched Jackson's home yesterday and found more evidence. They said lab work is still being processed.

FOX 10 reached out to the school district for comment but have not heard back.
