TEMPE, Ariz. -

Surveillance video was released Saturday of a violent robbery caught on camera in Tempe last week.

Four robbers targeted a Tempe medical marijuana shop and shot an employee before getting away on Oct. 25.

Police described the four men as brutal and cold blooded after seeing video footage from a camera at the shop.

Robbers pointed guns at employees and forced their way inside AZ Go Green near Rural Road and Southern Avenue.

Within moments, two more armed men followed.

In another room the suspects are seen pistol whipping an employee, not once, but twice.

One-by-one they move out of the frame and that's when police said a fight ensued.

"Well apparently they get into literally a shootout with other employees inside this business that were armed with apparent handguns," said Sgt. Darren Burch with Silent Witness.

Burch said that the robbers headed for the exit empty handed but on their way out, they shot an employee who was obeying their orders.

"As they leave, one of them takes a shot at them...absolutely no need for that, that was just really cold blooded," said Burch.

People who live near the shop say this recent violence confirms the fears they've had since they found out it was coming to their neighborhood.

"It does not make us feel safe in our neighborhood," said Sherri Toomb, who lives near the shop.

Toomb's children were playing in the backyard when a police helicopter shined a spotlight over them that night.

"I feel like a prisoner in my own home when I have to bring children in from the backyard and say I'm sorry you cannot go outside and play," said Toomb.

Police hope people will take a good look at the video. They're looking for three black men and one white or Hispanic man, all are believed to be in their late teens or early twenties with thin body types.

"There is no doubt these people will do it again and hurt someone, we need to get them off our streets," said Burch.

The 33-year-old employee who was shot is expected to be okay.

Silent Witness is offering an $1000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
