Santa Claus is already in town and families are posing along side him for holiday pictures at the Scottsdale Gun Club.

The pictures have a slight twist: families are taking their picture with St. Nick and weapons!

The decorations are up, holiday cheer is in full swing and jolly old St. Nick is already making appearances in the valley.

Families like the Collins' wanted to get the perfect holiday picture.

Besides posing alongside the big man in the red suit and a Christmas tree, the Scottsdale Gun Club offers families another, edgier prop.

Before you pose with Santa, everyone is expected to pick out their weapon of choice.

Kaprice and Rory Collins posed with their two-year-old old twin boys, Henry and Charlie, along side Santa. Mom and dad each proudly held a machine gun.

"Why not? It's America, everybody wants a red BB gun for Christmas. Why not get a real one for Christmas?" said Rory Collins.

"I think everyone should have a gun for protection, it's our right to have them, so why not?" said Kaprice Collins.

The gun club admits receiving criticism. Some people don't like seeing children near machine guns. Still, others view this photo opp as an Arizona-born yuletide tradition.

"I do it every year," said Sandy Wharton. "It's a tradition and I think it's fun."
This year the Collins' will be able to hand out a unique holiday card.

You can take a picture with Santa and guns at the Scottsdale Gun Club again on Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
