Police Locate Endangered Missing Girl

Posted: Updated:

Philadelphia Police have located an endangered girl after police reported her missing earlier today.

Police say Kimiyah Scott, who is 10 years old, was reported missing by her custodial guardian. Scott was taken by her birth mother, Moriah Ford, Friday night just before 11 p.m. They were last seen in a dark colored Chevrolet sedan at the 2500 block of West Gordon Street. Ford was a passenger in the vehicle.

According to police, Ford lost custody in October of this year after allegedly assaulting Kimiayah.

Ford is wanted on a warrant for her arrest on Endangering the Welfare of a Child Charges.

Kimiyah was returned to a relative unharmed, but police are still looking for Ford at this time.
