HAMMOND, Ind. (FOX 32 News) -

Police in Hammond, Indiana are looking for two men who they say raped a female realtor.

Police say it happened when the woman arrived to show a home in the Robertsdale neighborhood Friday morning.

Neighbors in the Robersdale community don't understand how a real estate agent was sexually assaulted so close to their homes.

"I'm beside myself that, that would happen right here," neighbor Dan Shirk said. "You know, where my kid has played and that these guys planned this. This must have been premeditated, it would have to be."

Hammond police say a woman was showing a home on Burton Court to two men last Friday morning. When the three got inside, that's when police say the men jumped her.

Officials describe one man as Hispanic, in his late 40s, about 5'10, between 160 and 180 pounds.

Police describe the second man as Hispanic, in his late 20s to early 30s with a muscular build. Police say he has a shaved head with tattoos on it.

Investigators are trying to determine how the men could have targeted the agent.

"If you look on the internet, you're able to find realtors, you're able to find pictures of people showing the houses and that certainly may have been possible," says Lt. Richard Hoyda of the Hammond Police Department.

Fellow real estate agents are feeling for the victim tonight.

Pat Pullara with the Greater Northwest Indiana Association of Realtors understands the vulnerability facing agents when they show homes.

"Clearly we're all troubled that any harm would come to any of our members in any kind of situation," says Pullara. "There is no one certain situation where you can totally protect yourself from. Because again, we're the trusting folks that are there to help solve real estate problems. But, yes, to say its sad its very sad."

If you have any information you're encouraged to call police.
