TUCSON, Ariz. -

A neighborhood watch group found a missing Tucson woman on Sunday morning.

Deputies say they were notified by an adult care home in the 10500 block of E. Roger Road that one of their patients had gone missing on Saturday night.

71-year-old Guillermina Lopez had only been at the facility for one day, suffers from dementia and is diabetic.

In addition to the Pima County Sheriff's office airplane, Search and Rescue deputies, a dozen volunteers from the Southern Arizona Rescue Association, canine handlers with Southwest Rescue Dogs and volunteers with Southern Arizona Mounted Search and Rescue were looking for the woman.

The search was suspected early Sunday morning and was resumed at 8 a.m. with additional help from the Border Patrol's BORSTAR K-9 unit, Arizona Department of Corrections canines and two Customs and Border Protection helicopters.

A neighborhood watch group had heard about the missing woman on the news and called all of its members to check their yard and properties. All of the members live close to the facility.

One neighbor found the missing woman laying on the ground in the desert area behind her house around noon.

She was taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation.
