9-1-1 service restored in Wickenburg

Posted: Updated:
WICKENBURG, Ariz. -

On Sunday, the 9-1-1 system was not available in Wickenburg due to a cut fiber line.

During the outage, the Maricopa County Sheriff's office asked anyone affected to call them at (928) 684-1601.

CenturyLink technicians worked as fast as they could, but the spot where the fiber line was cut is in a rugged area.  It appears to be an aerial cable with a very small cut.

The fiber line, which had access to 911, was located somewhere between Cave Creek and Wickenburg.

The outage also affected people in Circle City.

By 7 p.m. Sunday, 9-1-1 service was restored.
