U.S. astronaut Joseph Acaba will visit children in the Cosmic Kids Holiday Camp and the general public at Challenger Space Center from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Acaba is the first person of Puerto Rican dissent to become a NASA astronaut. He flew on flight STS-119 aboard Space Shuttle Discovery in March 2009, and later served as a flight engineer on the International Space Station.

He returned from space on Sept. 17, 2012 after spending four months on the ISS.

Space campers will meet Acaba as part of their "Cosmic Kids" program. The general public can attend the event with general admission. Seating is on a first-come, first served basis.
